This casual, as-needed position offers a pay rate of $23.69 per hour. It is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused professional looking to make a direct positive impact on community health and safety while working with an established leader in security services.
What Success Looks Like Success in this role means balancing vigilant protection with compassionate, customer-focused care. You keep hospital operations running smoothly and ensure everyone on-site feels safe and supported.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Conduct regular foot patrols of interior and exterior hospital areas, including hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and parking lots.
Monitor security surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential safety hazards or unauthorized access.
Control facility access, ensuring visitors adhere to hospital protocols and restricted areas remain secure.
Use calm, professional verbal de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques during tense or emotionally charged situations.
Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security calls in collaboration with healthcare staff and local emergency services.
Complete accurate, detailed daily logs and incident reports in a timely manner.

Pay Rate: $23.69 per hour (overtime pay applies after 48 hours per week).
Employment Type: Casual / As Needed (contract). Shift schedules vary based on operational requirements.

Qualifications Must-Have Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Valid CSA-approved First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Ability to transparent a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Required health records: Proof of two COVID-19 vaccine doses, immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, and Varicella, and documentation of a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
Valid Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications (or willingness to complete prerequisite training prior to onboarding; training costs are covered with a six-month commitment).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications Previous experience in security,



customer service, healthcare support, law enforcement, or emergency services.
