Job Description Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
Pack and unpack goods for shipping and receiving
Inspect all incoming shipments for condition and verify accuracy against purchase orders
Distribute received shipments to respective departments within the store
Process outgoing shipments to suppliers and other Long & McQuade locations
Work with standard shipping documents and online shipping systems
Maintain shipping logs and properly file all paperwork
Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Provide assistance to co-workers in stocking and restocking of merchandise
Provide assistance to co-workers in general housekeeping and store maintenance
Job Requirements Enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced workplace
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to excel in a self-directed work environment
Ability to lift and carry large boxes
Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills
