Northumberland Hills Hospital is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for its Finance Department. This full-time, temporary position oversees accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations.
As the Accounting Supervisor, you will report to the Manager of Finance and lead the day-to-day functions of billing, collections, and other finance-related tasks. Your role includes supervising staff, improving processes, and ensuring operational excellence. You will also support audit functions and maintain financial systems effectively, while promoting teamwork and accountability across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Supervise and develop finance staff through training and management
• Ensure accurate processing of billing and collections
• Serve as escalation point for complex billing issues
• Lead process improvement initiatives in finance
Requirements:
• Accounting or Finance degree with supervisory experience
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• CPA designation or working towards it is an asset
• Experience in healthcare finance preferred
• Solid analytical and reconciliation skills
