The Opportunity:
As a Teacher Therapist at Paul Dojack Youth Centre, the successful candidate will have the unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and educational levels.
Working with youth ages 12 to 18 who are in custody under the provisions of The Youth Criminal Justice Act, the Teacher Therapist plays an important role in providing a safe, supportive, and engaging educational environment. The position offers the opportunity to work with students at both the elementary and high school levels, providing individualized instruction that recognizes each youth’s strengths, needs, interests, and educational goals.
As a full-time Teacher Therapist, you will have the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects and grade levels while helping youth build academic skills, confidence, and a positive connection to education. This is a rewarding role for an educator who is looking to move beyond the traditional classroom and have a direct, lasting impact on the educational journey and future success of young people.
