About Fresco CleanersFresco Cleaners is a growing commercial cleaning and facility maintenance company serving clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities.

Our work includes recurring commercial cleaning, condominium services, post-construction cleaning, and customized facility-maintenance solutions. We are known for responsive service, strong client relationships, and a practical, hands-on approach to solving problems.

We are hiring an Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day field operations and help us maintain consistent service as the company grows.

The RoleThis is a hands-on management position for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working with both frontline employees and clients.

The Operations Manager ensures that client sites are properly staffed, employees have the direction and supplies they need, service standards are maintained, and operational issues are resolved promptly.

This position combines employee management, scheduling, quality inspections, client communication, recruiting, and field coordination. Administrative responsibilities are generally completed from home, while inspections, employee meetings, training, supply deliveries, client meetings, and operational support take place at client sites throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

Some flexibility is required to connect with employees working evening and weekend shifts.

The successful candidate does not need to come from a large corporate environment. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, manages their time well, and knows how to build a reliable team.

Key ResponsibilitiesStaffing and Team Management

- Recruit, interview, onboard, train, schedule, and support cleaning employees.
- Build and maintain a dependable pipeline of candidates for current and future staffing needs.
- Ensure client sites are appropriately staffed and arrange coverage for absences.
- Prepare and approve employee schedules.
- Communicate job expectations, site instructions, checklists, and performance standards clearly.
- Provide employees with timely, respectful feedback and coaching.
- Address attendance, reliability, conduct,

and performance concerns.
- Recognize strong performance and help create a positive, accountable team environment.
- Meet employees on site when necessary to provide training, distribute keys or supplies, and resolve concerns.

Quality Control and Site Management
- Conduct scheduled and spot inspections at client locations.
- Confirm that cleaning work meets client requirements and company standards.
- Document deficiencies, communicate corrective actions, and verify that issues have been resolved.
- Maintain accurate site instructions, inspection records, access information, and operational notes.
- Support the launch of new client sites and ensure employees are properly trained before working independently.
- Identify recurring service problems and implement practical solutions.

Client Service
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients regarding cleaning services, staffing, supplies, and operational requests.
- Build professional and responsive relationships with clients.
- Investigate complaints and resolve service concerns promptly.
- Keep clients informed when an issue requires follow-up.
- Conduct periodic client check-ins to confirm satisfaction.
- Identify requests or opportunities for additional services and refer them internally for pricing.

Supplies, Equipment, and Administration
- Monitor supply requirements and coordinate orders and deliveries to client sites.
- Oversee the company’s vacuum-maintenance program and coordinate equipment repairs or replacement.
- Track employee hours and review job costs for accuracy.
- Keep schedules, site records, employee information, inspection reports, and other operational documentation up to date.
- Coordinate keys, access cards, alarm information, and site contacts.
- Provide company leadership with regular updates about staffing, client concerns, service quality, and operational priorities.

QualificationsRequired
- At least two years of experience supervising, coordinating, or managing hourly, frontline, or field-based employees.
- Demonstrated success recruiting and retaining reliable employees.
- Strong scheduling, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Experience addressing employee-performance and service-quality concerns.
- Solid client-service and relationship-management abilities.

- Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Sound judgment and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Comfort working independently and taking responsibility for follow-through.
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Sheets, email, and scheduling or workforce-management tools.
- A suitable home workspace and reliable internet connection.
- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

Strongly Preferred
- Experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, condominium services, facility maintenance, restoration, security, landscaping, property services, or another field-service industry.
- Knowledge of commercial-cleaning methods, supplies, equipment, and quality standards.
- Experience managing employees who work evening, overnight, or weekend shifts.
- An established understanding of how to recruit hourly cleaning or service employees.
- Experience supporting multiple client locations.

Schedule and Working ConditionsThis is a full-time, home-based and field-based position. It is not a fully remote role. Administrative responsibilities are generally completed from home. Regular travel is required for site inspections, employee support, training, supply deliveries, client meetings, and other operational needs. Occasional in-person team meetings at a GTA location are also required.

Many of our cleaning employees work outside standard business hours. The Operations Manager must therefore be available for scheduled evening site visits and occasional weekend or urgent operational matters.

This does not mean working every evening or weekend. However, flexibility, responsiveness, and the ability to organize time around operational needs are important parts of the position.

What We Offer

- Salary of $65,000–$75,000 per year, based on relevant experience
- Mileage reimbursement
- Cell phone allowance
- Home-based administrative work
- Direct access to company leadership
- A supportive, practical, and collaborative working environment
- Meaningful responsibility and the ability to influence how operations are managed
- Opportunities for professional development and advancement as the company grows
