Build a Career in the Aquarium Industry

Are you someone who takes pride in your work, is dependable, enjoys aquariums, and wants more than just a job?

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated individual with some aquarium experience who wants to expand their knowledge, develop specialized skills, and build a long-term career in the aquarium industry.

This is an opportunity for someone who already understands the basics of aquarium keeping and wants to take their knowledge to the next level. We’re willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, initiative, and a genuine desire to learn and grow with the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Maintaining aquarium displays and keeping fish tanks clean, healthy, and looking their best.
- Feeding fish and monitoring their health and behaviour.
- Learning more about freshwater and saltwater fish, aquatic plants, water chemistry, filtration, and aquarium equipment.
- Helping customers select fish, supplies, and appropriate aquarium setups.
- Receiving shipments, stocking products, and keeping the store organized.
- Learning to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot aquarium systems.
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develop.
- Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual, honest, and accountable for their work.

- Experienced with keeping at least one aquarium and familiar with the basics of fish care and tank maintenance.
- Willing to get their hands dirty and handle routine cleaning and maintenance.
- A self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Curious, coachable, and eager to expand their aquarium knowledge.
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with customers.
- Interested in a long-term opportunity rather than just a temporary job.

Previous experience working in an aquarium store or the pet industry would be an asset, but personal aquarium-keeping experience combined with the right attitude and work ethic could be a great starting point. A Career, Not Just a Job

Our goal is to find someone who wants to grow with the business. As you gain experience and demonstrate your abilities, there may be opportunities to take on greater responsibility in aquarium care, customer service, inventory management, specialized aquarium systems, and store operations.

For the right person, this could develop into a key role within the business over time. We’re looking for someone who wants to build their knowledge, become a valuable team member, and take pride in what they do.
