Alberta Home Care Solutions (AHCS) is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Health Care Aide to provide personalized in-home support to a client with specific cultural and care preferences.

We are particularly interested in caregivers who are familiar with Asian cultural traditions, customs, food preferences, and family values, and who can provide culturally sensitive, respectful, and compassionate care.

Applicants who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or other Asian languages are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
- Prepare meals according to the client's dietary and cultural preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry as required.
- Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
- Communicate with the client, family, and AHCS care coordination team.
- Respect the client's cultural traditions, routines, and personal preferences.





Qualifications
- Health Care Aide certification or relevant caregiving experience preferred.
- Experience providing in-home care to seniors or individuals requiring personal assistance.
- Familiarity with Asian cultural practices and traditions is a strong asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Additional Asian language skills are highly desirable.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and follow individualized care plans.
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset.
