Assistant General Manager - Larga Kitikmeot, Yellowknife

Larga Kitikmeot is a medical boarding home which provides a safe and comfortable home-like atmosphere for patients travelling from the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut for medical services. We are seeking a permanent full time Assistant General Manager who will be responsible to oversee day to day operations, support staff, and ensure our guests receive quality services throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

- Effectively supports the General Manager in leading the team
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff across all departments including reception, housekeeping, kitchen, transportation and maintenance.
- Ensure daily operations run efficiently and that guests’ needs are being met.
- Assist staff with scheduling, training, onboarding, performance management, and addressing workplace concerns
- Respond to guest concerns and complaints in a professional, respectful, and timely manner
- Ensure staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Assist with managing operational expenses, staffing requirements, and resources.
- Assist with incident management, reporting, and follow-up.
- Assume responsibility for operation in the General Manager’s absence

Qualifications and Experience:

- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role




- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with computers, email and Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment is an asset
- Must be able to communicate efficiently in English
- Must be able to pass a security and medical clearance
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts
