At Fresh St. Market's Meat Department, we provide a broad variety of fresh, high quality products with a strong emphasis on local and specialty items designed to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. We assist customers with any inquiry, package meat and seafood products, replenish display cases and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.

Reporting to the Meat Department Leader, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Overview

- Leadership through coaching the company vision, mission, core values
- Consistently deliver excellent service experience for both internal and external customers
- Hire, train, manage and motivate a team to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Responsible for daily scheduling needs and applying labour optimization
- Product merchandising; New product/program execution
- Manage orders, inventory and shrink management
- Oversee the financial key objectives and needs are achieved
- Ensure store operations, budgets; financials are met
- Communication to the team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
- Run it like it's your business




- Ensure health and food safety standards are executed through Standard operating procedures

Street Credentials

- Must have valid work authorization in Canada
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekend and evenings
- 3+ years of experience of butcher or Meat Department experience
- 2+ years of Leadership experience in a retail service workplace
- Food Safe and First Aid Certification are considered assets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work well with others in a high-pressure environment
- Physical Requirements are required as a Leader in Fresh St. Market
