About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AutoCAD Designer / CAD Draftsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, creating and modifying CAD designs, and supporting our manufacturing and production operations.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and work closely with our production team to ensure designs meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and technical drawings for manufacturing and metal fabrication.
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and project specifications.
- Prepare and revise drawings according to customer requirements.
- Assist with preparing drawings and files for CNC laser cutting and other manufacturing processes.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and meet required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Work closely with production staff, project managers, and other team members.
- Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation.
- Review drawings for accuracy and resolve design issues as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, particularly 2D drafting.




- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or CNC laser cutting is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn new software and manufacturing processes.
