Stony Plain Chrysler is a family-owned and operated store, and our work atmosphere reflects just that.

To ensure success as our shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. The candidate we are looking for should be able to anticipate and address any hindrances to operational efficiency and timely delivery of services, ensure repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians, and that the service department maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time position, hours are 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and 8 to 3 every third or fourth Saturday as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Supervising and coordinating shop operations
- Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations
- Ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians
- Ensures that the service department maintains a high level of customer satisfaction
- Assists technicians in developing their skills
- Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
- Provides technical support for technicians when necessary
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks
- Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
- Road tests with customers to determine vehicle issues
- Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
- Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety,



and the condition of shop equipment
- Reports problems to the Service Manager or Fixed Operations Manager
- Ensures proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools
- Keeps up to date on new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases
- Assists with maintaining software updates on diagnostic equipment and other special tools as necessary
- Enforces safety regulations and protocols
- Maintains a protected work environment
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED
- Journey Technician Certificate
- At least one year experience as a shop foreman (or similar role) in the automotive industry
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to work long hours and overtime if needed
- PBS an asset
