Job Title: Automotive Technician Apprentice

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team in Saint John. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Assists with general maintenance and minor repairs under supervision, following dealer and manufacturer guidelines.
- Learns and performs tasks from work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Participates in training programs, meetings, and manufacturer-sponsored events to build technical knowledge.
- Uses tools and equipment responsibly; maintains and returns them properly.
- Coordinates with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
- Inspect vehicles with guidance to identify additional maintenance or safety needs.
- Communicate promptly with supervisors about additional work, delays, or unnecessary repairs.
- Documents are all work performed and recommended in work orders.
- Performs road tests when authorized.
- Stays informed on technical bulletins and service updates.
- Reports on faulty equipment and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

- Must work towards obtaining certification
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.




- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
