Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and other confections, following established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with intricate designs, themes, and personalized touches using various techniques and tools
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling baked items for service or display
- Package baked goods securely for retail sale or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and decorating materials; notify management of stock needs




- Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and accommodating special requests when possible

Experience

- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or a related culinary role within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Solid skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and decorating processes
- Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices for hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Previous experience in customer service is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for engaging with customers is essential
