Vero Italian Sandwich Co. is a fast-growing, chef-driven Italian sandwich concept built around one non-negotiable: freshly baked bread, every day. We’re expanding across the GTA and looking for a passionate, reliable Baker to join our team and own the foundation of everything we do. Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake all bread and baked goods in-house daily, following Vero’s recipes and quality standards — consistency is everything

- Manage dough preparation, proofing, and baking schedules to meet daily production volumes

- Package baked goods carefully for service, maintaining freshness and quality

- Monitor ingredient inventory and flag replenishment needs to the ops team

- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe baking environment — including equipment and storage areas throughout your shift

- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to align production with store demand

- Provide friendly,



knowledgeable service when customers have questions about our products

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in baking, a bakery, restaurant, or high-volume food production setting is preferred — but we’ll train the right person

- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures; Food Handler Certification an asset

- Solid attention to consistency and detail — every loaf matters

- Comfortable with early morning shifts and physically demanding, fast-paced work

- Ability to stand for extended periods and work independently without supervision
- A genuine passion for quality food and the craft of baking
