Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and other confectionery items.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all bakery work areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Package baked products efficiently for display or delivery, ensuring freshness and presentation quality.
- Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations.
- Support stock management by rotating stock, checking expiry dates, and restocking shelves as needed.




- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and quality in every product produced.

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation or kitchen work, preferably within a bakery or restaurant environment.
- Skilled in cake decorating techniques with an eye for detail and artistic flair.
- Strong understanding of baking processes, including mixing, proofing, baking times, and temperature controls.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures to maintain hygiene.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach that enhances the customer experience.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Familiarity with packaging techniques suitable for bakery products to ensure freshness during display or delivery.
