BOUTIQUE BC WINE STORE IN KITSILANO WANTS YOU!

We are looking for someone with customer service and retail experience, who is friendly and outgoing, enjoys working with the public and has wine knowledge or a great interest in learning. We sell BC Wine only.

Evening, weekend and holiday availability is a MUST! We are looking for longer-term employees.

Candidates must be fluent in English.

Candidates must have residency in Canada and/or a valid work permit that allows them to work up to 18hrs a week.

Wine knowledge/interest is a huge asset, especially knowledge of BC Wine.

We are looking for someone who will be comfortable describing wine, talking about wine and recommending wine to our customers.

AVAILABILITY:

We have two (2) locations in Kitsilano: 1st Ave at Burrard and 4th Ave at Alma. Employees can expect to work at both locations.

Store Hours, 1st Ave:

Monday-Wednesday: 10am - 9pm

Thursday-Saturday: 10am - 10pm

Sunday: 11am - 9pm

Store Hours, 4th Ave:

Monday to Thursday 12noon - 7:30pm

Friday-Saturday: 12noon - 8pm

Sunday: 1pm - 7:30pm

**As this is a very part-time position, many of our employees have another job. We are willing to work around other obligations but applicants MUST still have at least 2-3 days of availability on evenings and weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Wine Sales (includes: cashier duties on Barnet POS,



wine and non-alcoholic recommendations, serving wine flights)
- Restocking (you must be comfortable lifting a case of wine, approx 40 lbs. This is a very physical job)

*Able to stand for long periods, we are on our feet for the whole shift.

*Self-Motivating (employees typically work alone)

- Merchandising (attention to detail is key - as a boutique store, we make sure the store is always looking at its best, bottles are all faced forward, neat, tidy and clean)
- Cleaning (general cleaning duties for a retail space include sweeping, mopping, dusting, taking out cardboard/garbage)

Applicants must have a valid Serving It Right.

Immediate Start.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PHYSICALLY AND COMFORTABLY LIFT A CASE OF WINE 40 pounds. On an average shift, we lift at least 5-10 boxes. Busy days, even more.
