Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary outreach team that supports neurodivergent children, youth, and their families in community settings. Neurodiversity recognizes the natural variations in how people think, learn, communicate, process information, and interact with the world. The team serves children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual and developmental disabilities, learning differences, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This multidisciplinary team provides consultation, education, coaching, and skill development to children, youth, families, caregivers, educators, and community partners. Services are delivered in natural environments, including homes, schools, and community settings, to promote participation, independence, well-being, and successful functioning across daily activities. As a Behaviour Specialist, you will work collaboratively with children, youth, families, caregivers, schools, and community partners to support behavioural and developmental goals. The Behaviour Specialist provides consultation, behavioural assessment, intervention planning, coaching, and capacity-building to support the implementation and sustainability of individualized care plans. In this outreach role, you will help build the skills and confidence of caregivers and community supports, facilitate the transfer of skills across environments, and collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated,
family-centred care. Travel throughout the Calgary Area is required. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are required.
Description:
As a Clinical Behavioural Specialist (CBS), you will work in a consultative role within the interdisciplinary team.
