Busser / Server Assistant – Part-Time

Job Overview

Shibuya Izakaya is looking for reliable, energetic, and hardworking Busser / Server Assistants to join our front-of-house team.

We are specifically hiring for the shifts listed below. Applicants must be available for at least some of these shifts.

Available Shifts

Weekday Lunch

- Monday to Friday: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Evening

- Monday to Thursday: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM
- Sunday: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM

We are not currently hiring for Friday or Saturday evening shifts. Please include your availability when applying, specifying which days and shifts you can consistently work.

Responsibilities

- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly between guests
- Assist servers with maintaining tables throughout service
- Refill water and provide utensils, condiments, and other guest items
- Deliver food and beverages to tables safely and efficiently
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils
- Keep dining areas and service stations clean and organized
- Restock utensils, napkins, glassware, sauces, and other supplies
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Communicate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff




- Respond to basic guest requests professionally
- Follow restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and food-safety procedures
- Support other front-of-house team members as needed

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer-service experience preferred but not required
- Friendly, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Comfortable standing, walking, and carrying dishes or trays
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits
- $15 per hour plus eligible tips
