Job Summary: Under the direction of the supervising cardiologist the registered cardiology technologist (RCT) will work with clinical team to perform:

i) rest electrocardiograms (ECGs);

ii) maximal exercise stress tests (including myocardial perfusion imaging);

iii) holter monitor studies.

The RCT will maintain a safe work environment at all times including following policies and procedures, regulations and responding to medical emergencies.

Required Qualifications:

· Graduation from a recognized school of Cardiology Technology with recent working experience with ECGs, maximal exercise stress testing and holter monitors

· Membership with o Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists o Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologist

Preferred Qualifications:

- Thorough knowledge of RCT procedures including but not limited to performing ECGs, exercise stress testing, myocardial perfusion imaging and holter monitors.

· Demonstrated ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.



· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable working directly with patients and colleagues.

· Demonstrated strong clinical, critical thinking and prioritization skills.

- Must possess the ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a very busy lab environment.
- Must possess skills to ensure a high attention to detail and work quality.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
