Job Summary The Chinook Foundation is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activity Coordinator to lead recreation and wellness programming for residents at Chinook Lodge. This role is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities that promote engagement, connection, and quality of life for seniors.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Activity Coordinator plans, coordinates, and delivers a variety of recreational activities, special events, entertainment, and volunteer programs. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about enriching the lives of residents.

Responsibilities

- Plan and facilitate engaging activities, events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
- Coordinate volunteers, entertainers, and community partnerships.
- Develop and promote monthly activity calendars.
- Encourage resident participation and social engagement.
- Manage activity supplies and program budgets.
- Maintain approved social media content showcasing resident activities.
- Support resident orientation and ongoing involvement in lodge life.

Requirements





- Activity Coordinator Certificate or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience working with seniors or in Activity programming is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, energetic, and able to adapt activities to resident interests and abilities.
- Comfortable using computers, social media, and audio-visual equipment.
- First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, and Occupational Health & Safety training are assets.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required.
