Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of kitchen ventilation systems by utilizing lockout/tagout procedures and properly shielding equipment to prevent damage.
- Clean and maintain exhaust fans on roofs, including degreasing, and pressure washing fan housings and blades.
- Scrape and degrease internal ductwork using specialized tools and chemical agents to remove accumulated grease.
- Deep clean commercial kitchen hoods, including filters, grease troughs, and all accessible surfaces, to meet fire safety and sanitation codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, disposing of waste materials properly and ensuring equipment is stored securely.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe work environment at all times.




- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

- Prior cleaning experience, preferably within a commercial kitchen or food service setting can be an asset but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to commercial environments and food safety standards.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly while following health regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shifts.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
