Bull Form Construction is looking for an experienced upholsterer to work with us on restaurant renovation projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

Work will include restaurant booth seating, commercial vinyl, foam replacement, seat cushions, backrests, curved seating, stapling and finishing.

Experience with industrial commercial upholstery is preferred.

This can start as project-based or part time work, with the opportunity for regular ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, sew, and assemble upholstery materials to specifications for commercial furniture and fixtures
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and woodworking equipment safely and efficiently to complete projects
- Use CNC machinery and machining techniques to prepare components with precision
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials to ensure proper assembly and installation
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during the upholstering process
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including warehouse areas and tools




- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld

Requirements

- 2+ years upholstery experience
- Experience with vinyl and foam
- Industrial sewing machine experience preferred
- Restaurant booth/commercial seating experience preferred
- Able to cut, sew, staple, glue and finish independently
- Able to replace and shape foam
- Able to upholster straight and curved booth seating
- Able to work from measurements, drawings and photos
- Good attention to seams, corners, alignment and finishing
- Own basic upholstery hand tools preferred
- Reliable and able to meet project deadlines
- Able to lift and move booth seats/backrests
- Driver’s licence/transportation preferre
