Better Yourself 365 is a small, collaborative counselling clinic in Fredericton, New Brunswick, specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples.

Grounded in attachment science, our approach goes beyond managing symptoms to help clients understand the deeper emotional patterns that shape their sense of self, their relationships, and their overall well-being. We believe that meaningful, lasting change happens when people feel safe enough to explore their emotions, heal old wounds, and build stronger connections with themselves and others.

Led by a Certified EFT Supervisor, our close-knit team of four values clinical excellence, authenticity, ongoing learning, and mutual support. We work collaboratively, share knowledge, and encourage each therapist to bring their own strengths and clinical interests to their work.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT or LCT-C) or a Registered Social Worker with a master's degree to join our growing clinic.

The position involves providing individual counselling, with opportunities to offer couples counselling depending on your experience, training, and interests.

While experience in EFT and couples counselling is an asset, we also welcome applications from therapists who are interested in developing these skills through mentorship and specialized training supported by the clinic.

What You'll Be Doing

· Provide individual counselling to adults navigating a range of emotional, personal, and relational challenges.

· Provide couples counselling using an EFT framework, where appropriate to your training and experience, with mentorship and support available for developing this specialization.

· Maintain ethical and professional clinical practices, including documentation, case management, and ongoing professional development.

· Participate in biweekly team meetings focused on collaboration, clinical consultation, mentorship, and shared learning.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues while maintaining autonomy in your clinical practice.

· Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and welcoming environment for clients and fellow therapists.





· Have the opportunity to develop or facilitate therapeutic groups or workshops aligned with the clinic's mission, if desired.

Individual sessions with clients are generally 60 minutes, while couples sessions are up to 90 minutes. Services are provided primarily in person, with virtual sessions available when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

· Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT, or LCT-C), or Registered Social Worker with a master's degree in social work.

· Current registration and good standing with the appropriate New Brunswick regulatory body.

· Current professional liability insurance.

· Ability to provide ethical, compassionate, evidence-based and trauma informed counselling.

· Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, client-centred approach.

· Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.

· Ability to manage clinical responsibilities, documentation, and professional boundaries independently.

· Availability to offer appointments during at least one evening weekly (or a weekend day).

Assets — but Not Requirements

· Training or experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

· Experience providing couples counselling, or a strong interest in developing this specialization.

· Experience working with teens and/or families.

· Ability to provide counselling in both English and French.

Caseload & Availability Expectations

We're looking for someone interested in gradually building and maintaining a consistent caseload within the clinic.

Once an established caseload has been developed, the contractual expectation is a minimum of 16 completed client sessions per week. To support this, therapists are expected to have 18–20 available time slots to book appointments in their schedule weekly, including at least one evening or weekend availability.

Caseloads and schedules are developed gradually, based on client demand, the therapist's availability, and mutual agreement. We recognize that building a consistent caseload takes time and anticipate that it may take approximately 4–6 months to reach this level.

For therapists developing their couples counselling skills, couples work will be introduced gradually, with mentorship and attention to clinical readiness and comfort. Once established, the expectation is generally no more than one couples session per day.
