A speech language assistant is required to provide speech-language support, under the direction of a Speech-Language Pathologist. The successful candidate will work as a member of a trans-disciplinary team to support children with speech-language intervention at the Early Learning/Elementary/Junior High level.

Experience working with children with speech-language challenges.

Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team and to engage children. Ability to implement program plans that are directed by the Speech Language Pathologist. Ability to work independently implementing speech-language programming.

Ability to collect, record and report on specific progress regarding speech and language skills. Physical ability to play with children in various positions, at their level. Work on articulation, phonological awareness, and language goals with students.
