Custodian

- - - POSITION SUMMARY

Provide a clean and safe atmosphere.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Operate cleaning equipment and conduct custodial tasks throughout Snow Valley buildings and facilities.
- Maintain a high level of cleaning standards throughout the entire property including bathrooms, staff areas and grounds outside the building.
- Follow all sanitation, health and safety regulations and policies.
- Maintain a positive attitude and friendly contact with Snow Valley team members and guests.
- Clean designated areas prior to and after special events.
- Perform other responsibilities when required as directed by the Food Services Management team or General Manager.
- Understand and function within all Snow Valley policies and procedures. Make suggestions to improve the work processes and policies.

- Ability to work in a fast paced consumer driven environment and make responsible decisions quickly.




- Ability to work with little to no supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves working on weeknights, weekends and holidays.

One will spend long periods of time on their feet in a warm and noisy kitchen and will work in a standing position for long periods of time. May lift, carry, push or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be a self-starter and be comfortable working independently and in a team setting. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset. Previous experience in a customer service environment is preferred.

HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARDS

Identified health and safety hazards associated with this position include: falls from ladders, slipping, tripping, inhalation of fumes from cleaning products, skin irritation from cleaning products and strain from lifting.

Reports To: Food Service Management team
