The UPS Store 372
Edmonton
At the UPS Store in Terwillegar, we are expanding and are looking for the right individual to take the lead on our customer service oriented initiatives, so that we can continue to grow in the right direction.
Who We Are The UPS Store Terwillegar is a locally owned and operated franchise of the UPS Store Canada brand. We specialize in printing and shipping, while also offering other business services.
Located in south west Edmonton, we have been a part of the community for the past 20 years. Our neighbourhood knows us and trusts us, and comes to us because they can rely on us. We maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity in everything that we do, and we're looking for someone who fits that mentality.
The Role
This position is focused around what we refer to as front-of-house responsibilities. The primary responsibilities are processing shipping orders, handling package drop offs and pick ups, packing shipments, and assisting with claims through UPS and DHL.
Our store is multifaceted and as such, additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, printing and copying, bindery of print products, inventory and store maintenance and cleanliness. You also be handling point-of-sale transactions, and other light administrative tasks (faxing, shredding, mailbox rentals, etc.)
Who We're Looking For The right candidate will have a positive attitude, a friendly demeanour and an overall want to help. The position is very customer-centric and will require an enthusiam to engage with our clientele.
The ideal person will have a take-charge attitude and take ownership of their role. We are looking for a foundational member, one who will grow as we do. We take care of our own and the success of our store means the success of everyone involved.
We require someone reliable and punctual, can work well alone and with others, with solid communication skills, and strong problems solving skills. You must be comfortable using computers, POS software and basic office software.
Qualifications
This position is a 4 day weekday position plus Saturdays.
We require - at minimum - a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail, customer service or shipping experience is an asset. If you have previous experience working with Adobe design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign that would be ideal, but not required.
You must be able to lift up to 50lbs, work in a fast paced environment, and be able to think on the fly. As previously mentioned, strong communication skills are a must.
What We Offer
We offer an easygoing and friendly environment, and can be flexible on scheduling when necessary. We provide hands-on training and a supportive team dynamic.
There is a wonderful opportunity to grow within the business, which is why we are looking for someone to contribute in positive and meaningful ways.
We reward commitment, hard work and loyalty. There is much to be gained working at the UPS Store Terwillegar, and we hope that you believe that too.
Please apply as we look forward to hearing from you.
