Cyber Security Specialist

Review and analyze events and related logs on all firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion prevention systems, content switches, Windows and Linux platforms, and any other devices used at Empire Life to minimize risks against internal and external threats Provide technical guidance to enable the implementation of security automation and automated security testing. Provide guidance and leadership on security architecture and compliance matters for business and IT projects; assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as SOX, PCI, PIPEDA, etc Perform risk analysis on various systems; Assist with policy implementations and environment evaluations including privacy, accounting and reporting legislation as they relate to information technology practices provide assistance, guidance, problem resolution and technical support in the on-going protection of the Corporate IT infrastructure Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of security controls and documentation to minimize risks against internal and external threats Participate in information technology and security reviews and audits in cooperation with the Audit and Compliance teams Provide input on the technical direction and new technology adoption within the Enterprise Security team 1-3+ years work experience in an information technology security role ~ Accredited certification in network and/or computer security principles ~ Work experience with operating systems ( Windows Desktop and Server,
