ANSER Power Systems Inc. is an Abbotsford-based company that does electrical contracting, power generation, and gas fitting. Since 2012 we have built a reputation for high-quality work, especially in agriculture, where we serve dairy, poultry, greenhouses, and processing facilities. The Role The Director of Electrical Operations leads our electrical division. You will grow the business by finding new opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships. You will oversee new builds, installations, and renovations from quote to handover. You will also lead the electrical team with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. We serve agricultural, commercial, and residential clients, with a particular emphasis on agriculture.

What You’ll Do

Business Development

· Find and pursue new opportunities in the agricultural, commercial, and residential markets

· Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, and suppliers

· Prepare detailed quotes, bids, and proposals that meet project and compliance specifications

Project Delivery

· Plan and manage projects from quote to handover, including work plans, schedules, equipment, materials, and labour

· Manage project budgets, crews,



and subcontractors to deliver on time and on budget

· Oversee accurate billing and invoicing

· Pull electrical permits and coordinate inspections with Technical Safety BC

· Manage BC Hydro applications, service upgrades, and grid connections

Leadership

· Hire, train, and conduct annual performance reviews for the electrical team

· Mentor electricians and apprentices to a high standard of workmanship

· Schedule and dispatch crews

· Act as the subject matter expert on complex electrical projects

· Perform and review load calculations for new and existing installations

· Ensure all work meets the Canadian Electrical Code, BC electrical regulations, and WorkSafeBC requirements

· Lead a strong safety culture and enforce safe work practices

What You’ll Bring

Required

· Red Seal Construction Electrician

· Field Safety Representative (FSR) licence, Class A or B

· 10+ years in the electrical industry, including 5+ years in a leadership or project management role

· Proven field experience with agricultural, commercial, or residential electrical systems

· Experience estimating, quoting, and bidding electrical projects

· A proven track record in business development and client relationship management

· Strong knowledge of the CEC, BC electrical regulations, and WorkSafeBC requirements

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both clients and crews

· Strong written communication, including professional emails and proposals

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office

· Valid BC driver’s licence

Nice to Have

· Experience with generators, transfer switches, or standby power systems

· Project management certification, such as a PMP

Pay: $105,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
