The Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Locksmith Technician with strong expertise in Automatic Door Operators (ADOs) to join our team. Operating with a company-provided service vehicle, you will travel to commercial, industrial, and retail locations throughout the GTA to complete hardware installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service, and repair commercial lock hardware, deadbolts, mortise locks, continuous hinges, and panic exit devices.
- Install, service, and troubleshoot Automatic Door Operators (ADOs) and handicap push-button accessibility systems.
- Perform key cutting, cylinder re-keying, and master key system setup and maintenance.
- Complete daily job dispatching, work orders, and documentation using a company-provided mobile phone and work order app.
- Participate in a mandatory, fair rotating on-call schedule for emergency commercial calls (offering premium pay per service call).




- Provide qualified, clear, and courteous service to site contacts and property managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of hands-on commercial locksmithing experience required.
- ADO Capability (MANDATORY): Proven expertise in installing, servicing, and troubleshooting Automatic Door Operators.
- On-Call Availability: Ability and willingness to participate in a fair, mandatory rotating on-call schedule.
- Background Check: Clean criminal record check (required for client site access).
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Technical & Digital Skills: Proficiency in commercial hardware troubleshooting, plus comfort using a mobile app for daily job tracking.

Assets / Preferred Skills (Big Bonus)

- Door frame prep/modification and metal door repair work.
- Experience with electronic access control systems and keyless entry systems.
- Current WHMIS, Fall Arrest, or First Aid certification.

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
