· Accompany participants to appointments and community services when appropriate.
· Support family-focused groups, activities and programming.
· Work collaboratively with NEWC's Family Advocate and other team members to support family preservation and reunification.
· Maintain accurate participant records and follow through on commitments.

- An understanding of the challenges families face when involved with the child welfare system.
- Knowledge of Winnipeg community resources and services.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, organizational and practical problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of trauma-informed, harm-reduction and culturally responsive approaches.
- A commitment to walking alongside participants without judgment and respecting their choices.
