Part-Time Food Service Associates — Build Experience, Earn Money, Join the Team

Hiring for Weekday Afternoons and Weekends Only: Weekdays 3:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Weekends 6: 30 a.m.– 8: 30 p.m.

Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. is hiring Part-Time Food Service Associates to join our team at our Booster Juice and/or Tim Hortons outlets. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on customer service, teamwork, food preparation, and cash-handling experience in a busy recreation and sport environment.

What you will do:

- Serve customers quickly and accurately while creating a welcoming experience at TPASC food service outlets.
- Operate cash register and accurately follow Cash Handling Procedures.
- Learn the menu, answer customer questions, and suggest additional items when appropriate.
- Accurately process food and drink orders and prepare them in a timely manner in compliance with operational requirements (speed of service).
- Bake/cook outlet items as per specifications and ensure proper presentation,



food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
- Maintain and safely operate high volume cooking equipment including but not limited to commercial ovens, dough sheeter, pizza oven, grills, deep fryers, panini press, coffee and tea brewers, espresso machines, juice makers, etc.
- Help set up and clean up catering spaces, display food and supplies, receive deliveries, and stock the storage room as needed.
- Understand and Follow Food Safety, Workplace Sanitation and Personal Hygiene practices, and comply with internal/external quality and safety standards, rules, policies and procedures.
- Follow directions of the Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
- Comply with all legislative requirements (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, Act as well as company policies and procedures etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

- Valid Food Handler Certification (required).
- Previous food service experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn is key.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to follow instructions.





References will be requested from shortlisted candidates. Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. Instructions will be provided following an offer of employment.

Hours of work:

Applicants must be available to work weekday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and/or weekends for shifts scheduled between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
