RESTIV Technology · Remote (Canada) · Full-time · Founding team

About the jobRESTIV is building the platform that makes compliance simple for the organizations it's hardest on: small and mid-sized companies stuck juggling siloed tools, scattered spreadsheets, and fragmented assessments. We converge all of it — scanning, evidence, and attestation — into one platform, already in production automating ISO 27001 and Virtual CISO programs for customers across the Americas and Australia. Our near-term focus is the defence supply chain, where Canada's CPCSC Level 1 and Level 2 deadlines are creating acute, time-bound demand — and our coverage of CMMC Levels 1 and 2 opens a path to the more than 200,000 suppliers in the US defence industrial base.

This is a founding role: you'd be the first dedicated SDR/BDR on the team, joining the founding team and working directly with the founder. You'll qualify the inbound our campaigns generate, build outbound pipeline from scratch, and write the sales playbook rather than inherit one — then grow with the function you helped build. Remote anywhere in Canada. Base $55,000–$65,000 CAD; OTE $110,000–$130,000 CAD, uncapped.

About RESTIVCompliance is hard for the wrong reasons. The tools are siloed, the assessments are fragmented, and the evidence lives in a dozen places — a burden large enterprises absorb with headcount and small and mid-sized organizations simply can't. RESTIV's answer is convergence: one platform that runs the scans, collects the evidence, and assembles the attestation.

This isn't a thesis — it's running. RESTIV automates and orchestrates ISO 27001 programs and Virtual CISO services for a customer base spanning the Americas and Australia, including a well-known military organization we can't name publicly.

Our near-term growth focus builds on that base: the defence supply chain, served by our Compliance Copilot. In Canada, CPCSC Level 1 went live in April 2026 and its requirements are now appearing in DND solicitations, with Level 2 third-party certification to follow — thousands of Canadian suppliers face hard deadlines, and most are preparing with spreadsheets and valuable intentions. We replace that with automated scanning, configuration analysis, and versioned evidence packages, including an air-gapped edition for defence supply chains.

The platform also covers CMMC Levels 1 and 2, the parallel US requirement.

As the Department of War completes its review of the CMMC program and sets the path forward, we're positioned for a US defence supply chain of more than 200,000 suppliers facing the same evidence problem.

We're built in Canada and NRC-IRAP funded, and we're currently onboarding the founding cohort for our CPCSC offering. This hire is a founding-team seat: the first dedicated salesperson in the company's history, with the fingerprints on the sales function to show for it.

The roleThis is a founding, full-funnel SDR/BDR role — you own both inbound and outbound pipeline generation. In practice that means:

Inbound (~40%)

- Respond to and qualify leads from our LinkedIn campaigns, beta applications, and website — speed matters, and you'll own our response-time standard
- Run short qualification calls to confirm fit (defence contract exposure, attestation timeline, who signs) before booking meetings with the founder
- Keep the CRM accurate: every lead sourced, staged, and followed up

Outbound (~60%)

- Build and work prospect lists of defence suppliers — primes and subcontractors facing CPCSC Level 1 and Level 2 deadlines
- Run multi-touch outbound sequences: email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Turn waitlisted and not-yet-ready beta applicants into future pipeline
- Feed what you learn from prospects back into our messaging and targeting

You will not be handed a mature playbook. You'll write it with us. Your input on what's working — messaging, targeting, objections — directly shapes how we sell, and the sequences, qualification criteria, and territory logic you build become the playbook the next hires are trained on. What we measureQualified meetings booked and held, pipeline generated, and lead response time. Targets are set together in your first month, once you've seen the funnel.

What we're looking for

- 1–3 years in an SDR, BDR, or similar pipeline-generation role, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Comfortable running outbound from scratch: list building, cold email, cold calls

- Writing that is clear and specific — our buyers are executives and compliance leaders who are allergic to hype, and our outreach reflects that
- Organized and self-directed; this is a remote role at a small company with no one checking your activity dashboard daily
- Curiosity about cyber security and compliance — you don't need to be an expert, but you need to be willing to learn what a control family is and why an attestation signature carries personal risk
- An owner's mindset about the founding-team seat: you want to build the machine, not just run one
- Eligible to work in Canada

Nice to have: experience selling into regulated industries (defence, aerospace, government, financial services), familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITSP.10.171), or French/English bilingualism. Compensation and benefits

- Base salary: $55,000–$65,000 CAD, depending on experience
- On-target earnings: $110,000–$130,000 CAD, with uncapped variable
- Remote anywhere in Canada
- A competitive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, paid vacation, and a home-office setup budget

Why this role, honestlyThe upside: a product with paying customers on three continents behind it, new regulatory requirements with real deadlines, direct access to the founder, and a founding-team seat — you build the sales function rather than inherit one, and every hire that follows works inside what you built. CPCSC is the near-term wedge, not the whole story — CMMC brings the same evidence problem to a US defence supply chain of over 200,000 suppliers, and the fragmentation we're solving exists across every compliance framework. The ground floor of that is where you'd be standing. The likely path from here is senior SDR, AE, or the first rung of sales leadership as the team grows around you.

The trade-off: the sales function is new even if the product isn't. Processes are thin, the brand is young in this market, and some weeks the pipeline will depend entirely on your outbound. If you want a warm territory and an enablement team, this isn't that.

How to applyApply via LinkedIn with your resume. A short note on the most creative way you've booked a meeting counts for more than a cover letter.

- RESTIV is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and accommodate applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
