North Woodlands Medical Centre is currently seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) for a Maternity Leave to assist our Family Physicians in providing care to our geriatric/palliative/shut-in patients. This position is both in-office and in the community at patient homes/retirement homes. The travel is in the Brantford area. This position is funded under the “500 Nurses Program” through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Duties will include

- Making house calls, performing examinations, neurocognitive assessments, procedures, treatments and vaccinations within scope of nursing care
- Making telephone calls
- Charting medical information using PS Suite EMR
- Preparing requisitions and assisting with forms

Requirements:
- RN licensed to practice in Ontario
- Previous substantial experience in geriatric/palliative care nursing




- Able to work independently
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good listening and communication skills with patients and their families, physicians, office staff and other allied health professionals in the community
- Must have own reliable transportation to travel in the Brantford area
- Must be computer literate for charting using PS Suite EMR

Pay: $42.68 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:
- Registered Nurses: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)
