Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our greenhouse facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and structural systems that support plant growth and environmental control. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and productive environment for plant cultivation, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality produce and research outcomes.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on greenhouse systems, including heating, cooling, irrigation, lighting, and ventilation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify greenhouse structures or equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate facilities maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Some lawn care including removing weeds, plant debris,



waste and grass cutting; follow sanitation and pest-prevention procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
- Be available for on-call services and emergencies.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical work, and plumbing repairs.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Some electrical experience including troubleshooting circuits, wiring, and control panels.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to facilities maintenance or horticultural environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, bending, and working in warm or humid conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Work Environment Work takes place indoors and outdoors, often in warm, humid greenhouse conditions. The role may involve standing for long periods and lifting or carrying supplies.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
