Dirty Diesel Customs

West Kelowna

Job Summary

Welcome to Dirty Diesel Customs! We're one of the biggest names in diesel performance, and we got there by doing things a little different. We build the fun stuff: performance builds, big power, the trucks people stop and stare at. We're also a major online retailer for parts and performance products, a machine shop, and a hub for diesel research and development, all under one roof. None of that can be possible without the amazing people who make up our very talented team!

We're hiring the person who runs our marketing. You'll lead our in-house marketing team, own the brand and the strategy behind everything that carries our logo, and connect what we post to what we sell. If you've grown a brand's social channels and can show how it moved the business, keep reading.

What You'll Do

- Own the marketing strategy for the whole business: what we're pushing, where, and why, with a calendar the whole company works from
- Own the brand. You keep the brand guidelines, decide how Dirty Diesel looks and sounds online, and you're the last set of eyes on anything with our logo on it: website, social, email, print, packaging
- Design direction for the products we manufacture: box designs, labels, product photography and launch assets, so what lands on a customer's doorstep looks like it came from us
- Lead the marketing team: set priorities, run the content pipeline, review the work, and make sure what ships is on brand and on time
- Own the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook: what we post, how often, who it's for, and what each channel is supposed to do for sales
- Plan the content pipeline around the performance builds, dyno pulls and product launches happening in the shop, so the team and creators always know what to capture and why
- Tie social to the business. Define what a positive month looks like in reach, traffic, leads and sales, track it by campaign, report monthly on what worked and what didn't, and change the plan based on what the data says
- Run our brand partnership and co-op programs with the manufacturers we sell: plan campaigns with them, write the proposals and the results reports, and keep every brand informed and happy. A lot of this is done in writing, and it has to be sharp
- Plan and run product launches with our manufacturing and web teams, from the first teaser to the sales report
- Direct our email marketing: the promo calendar, the offers, and the voice
- Work with our paid ads agency on creative,

offers and landing pages so the ads match what's happening everywhere else
- Oversee events, sponsorships and influencer partnerships, and make sure we get what we paid for
- Use AI tools (Claude, Chat GPT, Gemini, whatever gets the job done) to move faster without losing the brand voice

Who You Are

- You love diesel trucks. Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax. You know what a built transmission is for and why someone wants a tune, and you get excited about it
- You're a leader. You've managed people or a team, you give clear direction, and you follow up until it's done
- You're a strategist first. You build the plan, brief the people who shoot and edit, and judge the result by what it did for the business, not by how it looked
- You can still roll up your sleeves. When a post needs to go out today, you write it, schedule it and move on
- You think in numbers. You know your cost per lead from your cost per click, you read a dashboard without flinching, and you'd rather see the data than guess
- You have a brand eye. You know what a brand should look and sound like across every touchpoint, you can explain it to a designer in one brief, and you notice when something is off
- You write well. Clear, friendly, no fluff. Brand partners and customers both read what you write
- You're organized. Calendars, briefs, deadlines, and a team that always knows what's next
- You're driven. You want to build something people in this industry talk about

Qualifications

- 3+ years in a marketing role with real results you can show us: channels you've grown, campaigns you've run, numbers you moved
- Experience leading a team or managing contractors and creators
- Hands-on with social media management, content planning and scheduling tools. You've directed creators and editors, and you can tell good content from busy content
- Comfortable with analytics tools: Meta and TikTok insights, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, Shopify reports or similar
- Email marketing experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar) is an asset
- Experience owning a brand: guidelines, visual identity, packaging or product design direction.

You can show us a brand you shaped
- Experience working with brand partners, sponsors or co-op marketing programs is a big plus
- Automotive, powersports or performance industry experience is a big plus. Diesel is the dream
- A portfolio, channel or reel we can look at. Bring it

So... Why Join Us? We're a tight crew here. Basically family, except this family gives you dental and never questions your life choices when you buy more truck parts. We actually encourage it.

- Above-market wages, regular wage reviews, and incentive bonuses. Your truck has expensive taste.... we understand.
- Benefits that actually cover stuff. Health, dental, vision, and extended health care. Your body is a high-mileage vehicle too. We cover the maintenance schedule.
- Employee discount on parts and labour. Fair warning: this will not save you money. It will just mean you buy more parts. Your significant other has been warned.
- Monday to Friday. No evenings. No weekends. Weekends are for working on your own truck, or helping a buddy move because you're the one with the truck.
- Paid time off. For vacations, appointments, or the day your new parts show up.
- Casual dress. Hoodies, boots, and the same hat you've worn since 2014. Nobody here is judging.
- Room to grow. We promote from within as we expand. Unlike your fuel economy, your career actually goes up.
- Company events. Frequent, fun, and optional. But there's usually free food, so nobody actually skips them...
- The crew. A team that works hard, plays hard, and argues about Cummins vs Duramax vs Powerstroke at lunch. Every day. Forever. You will pick a side. Choose wisely.
- Content you'll be proud of. A build shop, a dyno, a machine shop, a warehouse full of parts and a crew of truck people, all available to your team. Most marketers would kill for this set.

If this sounds like your kind of place to work, apply through this ad and tell us what makes you the best fit. Bonus points if you tell us what you drive and send us something you've made. This is an in-person position. You must live in the Kelowna / West Kelowna / Okanagan area and be at the office daily.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
