Responsibilities

- Assist residents and clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support patient care routines by helping with meal preparation, feeding, medication administration, and hydration.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning personal spaces and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia, disabilities, or those receiving hospice care.
- Help with heavy lifting and transferring patients safely using proper techniques and equipment.
- Document care activities accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to supervising healthcare professionals.




- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed and needs are met promptly.

Skills

- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments demonstrating patient-centered support.
- Strong understanding of senior care, dementia care, hospice support, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with the ability to perform tasks such as medication administration and meal preparation efficiently.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks while maintaining safety standards.
- Compassionate communication skills to connect effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures to ensure a hygienic workplace for residents and staff.
