Position Scope

Charlottetown Metal Products (CMP) is seeking a motivated Health &

- Safety Coordinator to support a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. This role offers hands-on experience in occupational health and safety, assisting with safety programs, training, workplace inspections, incident management, regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and continuously improve CMP's health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Lead onboarding, safety training, certification programs, and record management training.
- Manage workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Manage WCB claims, return-to-work programs, safety reporting, and health and safety records.
- Manage Joint Health &
- Safety Committee activities, including meetings, inspections, records, and action tracking.
- Manage employee travel arrangements, and compliance-related administrative processes.
- Partner with employees and leadership to promote a safety-first culture through engagement, communication, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications &

- Experience

- Diploma,



certificate, or post-secondary education in Occupational Health &
- Safety, Business Administration, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial environments, or health and safety is considered an asset
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work across departments and support multiple stakeholders.
- Valid First Aid certification or be able to obtain in the first month of employment
