Howitt Construction is a busy excavation company based out of Red Deer. We're looking for an experienced heavy duty mechanic to join our team, based out of Red Deer/Central Alberta with the ability to go out of town (generally within Alberta). Work schedule will be on a rotation during the summer and working out of a shop during the winter months.

Details

- Minimum 3rd year; preferred journeyman certification,
- Heavy duty experience required,
- Truck can be provided (must have clean driver abstract),
- Approximately 10-12 hrs/day, 2 weeks on/1 week off rotation,
- Must provide all own basic tools.

Skills

- Transparent and concise written and verbal skills,
- Strong computer skills,
- Must be able to self start and prioritize tasks independently.

Duties

- Primarily work is on dozers, scrapers, excavators, rock trucks etc,
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, engine, transmission etc issues,
- Utilize online work order system and keep records up to date,
- Perform routine maintenance,
- Maintain a safe and tidy work space.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
