As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled technician with strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and experience repairing off-road heavy equipment.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs in both field and shop environments.

This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys challenging repairs, takes pride in their workmanship, and is confident working independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair off-road heavy equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine diagnostics.
- Repair excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, compact track loaders, forklifts, and related industrial equipment.




- Diagnose and repair hydraulic pumps, travel motors, control valves, cylinders, and associated hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic control systems, sensors, wiring harnesses, and communication networks.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled equipment servicing.
- Utilize electronic diagnostic software, OEM technical resources, and specialized testing equipment.
- Complete mobile service calls at construction sites, industrial facilities, and customer equipment yards.
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommended additional work.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and management.
- Follow safe work practices and maintain organized tools, equipment, and work areas.

Qualifications Preferred Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of practical experience servicing off-road heavy equipment.
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification is an asset.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment powertrains.
- Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, John Deere, Volvo, Bobcat, Kubota, or similar manufacturers.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and OEM service literature.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic software and technical testing equipment.




- Strong independent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Experienced technicians without Red Seal certification are encouraged to apply. Practical experience and demonstrated technical ability will be strongly considered.
