Responsibilities
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, handling inquiries and reservation requests clearly and promptly
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area
- Assist with guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent communication skills to resolve issues effectively
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality is highly preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone
- Experience in serving or restaurant environments enhances understanding of guest needs and flow management
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is advantageous but not required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a quick-paced setting
