ReportingtotheManagerofHumanResourcesServices,theprimaryfocusoftheHumanResourcesGeneralististoleadthefull-timerecruitmentprocessfortheCityofBrantford. TheHumanResourcesGeneralistisresponsiblefortherecruitmentandselectionprocessforunionizedandnon-unionizedpositions,frompostingpositionsthroughtoonboardingprocedures. TheHumanResourcesGeneralistprovidesguidanceandadvicetoclientgroupswithrespecttoemployeerelationsmatters.





Inaddition,theHumanResourcesGeneralistworkscollaborativelywiththeHumanResourcesServicesTeam,toassisttheHumanResourcesBusinessPartnersbyassistingwithlabourandemployeerelationsresearch,andavarietyofdepartmentalprojectsandadministrativeduties. Qualifications

- Mustpossessaminimumofathree(3)yeardiplomaordegreeinarelatedfieldfromanaccreditedCollegeorUniversityprogram.
- PreferablyholdsorworkingtowardsaCertifiedHumanResourcesProfessional(CHRP)designation.
- Over2yearsofhumanresourcesexperience,preferablywithinaMunicipality,includingrecruitmentandselectionexperienceinaunionizedenvironmentrequired.
- Mustbecommittedtoprofessionalismandteamwork;possessingacomprehensiveknowledgeofcontemporaryHRpracticesandlegislationwithastrongemphasisoncustomerservice.
- MusthaveknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeSoftware.
