ATLAS R&D; Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance & Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and packaging equipment at our facility.

We are looking for someone with solid practical skills in mechanical, electrical and automation systems who can identify problems, carry out repairs and keep production running reliably.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and repair encapsulation machines, tablet presses, stick pack machines, liquid filling lines, cappers, blister machines and related equipment.
- Diagnose faults involving motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, HMIs and electrical controls.
- Maintain and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and equipment waste.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and changeovers.
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for technical support and spare parts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow GMP and workplace safety procedures.
- Train production operators on proper equipment use and routine checks.

Qualifications





- Diploma or relevant trade qualification in industrial maintenance, electromechanical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC diagnostics, HMIs, variable-frequency drives and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food or packaging manufacturing is preferred.
- Relevant Ontario trade certification is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to production breakdowns.
