Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically knowledgeable Integrated Security Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for integrated electronic security systems.

This role involves working closely with project managers, sales executives, consultants, general contractors, electrical contractors, and suppliers to develop comprehensive proposals for commercial and residential projects.

Duties

- Review architectural, electrical, security, and construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and identify security system requirements, including equipment, materials, labour, and installation costs.
- Prepare detailed cost and quotation estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate pricing from equipment manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors.

Experience with the following systems an asset

- Video Surveillance (CCTV): IP cameras, recording servers, and NVRs
- Access Control: Card readers, controllers, electronic door hardware, request-to-exit devices, and access management software.
- Intrusion Detection: Alarm panels, motion detectors, door contacts, and associated monitoring equipment.
- Intercom Systems:



IP video intercoms, visitor management, and building entry systems.
- Security Infrastructure: Cabling, pathways, power supplies, network switches, racks, and associated installation requirements.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in estimating, design, sales engineering, or project coordination within the electronic security or low-voltage industry.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, and intercom systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical drawings, security layouts, and technical specifications.
- Experience performing equipment takeoffs, labour calculations, and cost estimates.
- Familiarity with security equipment manufacturers, distributors, and industry-standard installation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating or project documentation tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
