We are looking for an experienced Interactive Web Developer to join our Studio / Technology team in Toronto.

You are a craft-driven developer who brings together a designer’s eye and front-end precision to turn big creative ideas into email and display experiences that look sharp, move beautifully, and perform everywhere they land.

Working in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment, you will partner with creative, production, and account teams to bring work to life for some of Canada’s most recognized brands, and help shape how our studio uses automation and AI to take great work further, faster.

This role is ideal for a developer who loves the details, thrives on volume and variety, and is curious about what’s next in digital production.

Target Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Build responsive HTML email, from single campaigns to modular template systems, that renders across major clients, devices, and dark mode.
- Develop emails with dynamic and personalized content based on attributes such as location, language, vehicle interest, and customer type.
- Extract and prepare assets from Photoshop and Figma files for email builds.
- Support integrations with our email platforms and campaign tools.
- Hand-code animated and interactive HTML5 display ads from storyboards, and resize masters across formats.
- Preview, QA, and traffic builds in Google Studio / Campaign Manager 360 or similar platforms.
- Keep builds lightweight, accessible, and on-spec.
- Build dynamic and templated creative so the studio can produce variants at scale.
- Use creative automation tools, such as BriefAI and Figma-to-HTML5 workflows,



and help shape how they fit into our production process.
- Maintain a clean, reusable code and template library.
- Tell creative and account teams early what will and won’t work within email and ad specs, how long it will take, and a better way when it won’t.
- Test every build in Litmus or Email on Acid and in the ad server, covering rendering, file weight, accessibility, and click tracking.
- Participate in estimation and planning, and manage tasks and defects through Jira or similar tools.

Required skills and experience:

- 5+ years building HTML email and HTML5 display, ideally in an agency or studio.
- Robust hand-coded HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, including table-based email layout, the quirks of Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail, dark mode, and accessible email.
- Experience building responsive emails with dynamic content in Alterian Email Manager, Adobe Campaign, or similar platforms.
- Strong GSAP animation skills, and experience with Google Studio / Campaign Manager 360, Google Web Designer, Celtra, Flashtalking, or similar.
- A testing habit: Litmus or Email on Acid, plus comfort working in Git and Jira or similar tools.
- A designer’s eye: comfortable in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma, preparing assets and making client changes on the fly.
- A portfolio or code samples showing email and display work you built.




- Post-secondary education in development, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Dynamic creative (DCO) experience: feeds, templates, and personalization logic, plus rich media, high-impact, or social formats.
- AMPscript, Liquid, or Handlebars for email personalization.
- A design or illustration background; After Effects a plus.
- React, SASS, and accessible, responsive front-end practice.
- Automotive or retail campaign experience.
