About the Position

Harris Auto Group is looking for an experienced, organized, and reliable Internal Bookkeeper to join our team in Nanaimo, BC.

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records for multiple companies within our organization. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and capable of working independently while supporting our senior management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices, payments, and deposits.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end reporting.
- Process payroll and government remittances.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and expense management.
- Prepare financial documentation for accountants and year-end reviews.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company financial information.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple companies is an asset.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with payroll processing and government remittances.




- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Post-secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
