IV Technician

PACE Cardiology | Newmarket, Ontario

Position: Part-Time, with Potential for Full-Time

Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Weekdays and some Saturdays

PACE Cardiology is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented IV Technician to join our team at our Newmarket clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to work in a professional, patient-focused cardiology environment, with the potential to transition to full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

- Initiate and maintain IV access safely and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for cardiac diagnostic testing and procedures requiring IV access.
- Follow established infection prevention, safety and patient care protocols.
- Monitor patients during procedures and communicate any concerns to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment and supplies are properly prepared.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support excellent patient care.

Qualifications




- Previous IV insertion experience is required.
- Strong patient care, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and some Saturdays.
- Current Canadian residency is required.
- Certification in phlebotomy and IV therapy required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a energetic clinical setting while maintaining high safety standards.

Licence/Certification

- certification in IV therapy and phlebotomy (preferred)
