Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented JOURNEYMAN Fitter/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, proficiency with blueprint reading, and experience with a variety of tools and machinery.

The Welder will contribute to high-quality production processes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.

Responsibilities

- Perform FCAW & MCAW welding on metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, overhead crane, and other fabrication equipment
- Use calipers and other measuring devices to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances
- Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Perform quality inspections on completed welds to ensure compliance with specifications

Requirements

- Proven experience in FCAW & MCAW welding within manufacturing or construction environments.



Must have CWB tickets.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, assembly processes, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a must
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Ability to work safely around forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
