Our Heavy Duty

Mechanics are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry and mining equipment at different customer sites and two large mine sites. If you are a customer focused Heavy Duty Mechanic (with Red Seal endorsement); Paid breaks, vacation and sick time ~ Comprehensive Benefits and Pension Plan ~ Interface with customers, products and sales support Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are considered assets Engine and/or Component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset Forestry and mining equipment experience would be considered as an asset. Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset Previous Gas Engine and Power Generation experience would be considered an asset Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset This is a position based out of our Williams Lake facility on a 5 x 2 shift (Monday – Friday) A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Site Access (may include Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing and ability to wear a respirator) Strong experience with Transmissions and Hydraulic Testing is required Clean Drivers' Abstract (5 Years) Union Membership:
