Clear Marine has been providing top-quality canvas and upholstery services from our location at Van Isle Marina. Specializing in marine work, we do everything from full enclosures to boat covers to settees. At Clear Marine Canvas & Upholstery, we take pride in enhancing our client’s spaces with our craftsmanship and dedication. We share an office with our sister company, Sea Power Marine Centre, who service boats of all sizes.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Fabricator to join our team. This is an entry-level position suited for someone who has expereince with industrial sewing machines. Some of our current staff have backgrounds in fashion and design.

You do not need extensive experience. We are prepared to train the right person who is eager to learn, works well with their hands, and takes pride in doing quality work. This role offers the prospect to develop valuable skills in canvas fabrication and upholstery.

You will be working alongside experienced fabricators who will guide and support your training as you build your skills over time.

Key Responsibilities





- Assist in the fabrication, repair, and installation of marine canvas covers, enclosures, and upholstery
- Learn to work with materials such as canvas, vinyl, and stainless steel components
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop
- Work collaboratively with the team on various projects
- Gradually build independence as skills develop

Qualifications:
- Interest in hands-on work such as woodworking, mechanics, sewing, or similar trades is an asset
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to do careful, quality work
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual
