As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, testing and improvement of mechanical components and systems, working closely with our senior engineers to bring products from concept to production. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual, early in their career who is looking for hands-on experience in a challenging environment. You will support one or many mechanical engineering areas of work spanning our rocket and space systems divisions.

Assist in designing, modeling, and drafting mechanical components and assemblies using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and NX. Build and assemble physical prototypes in-house, and iterate based on testing and validation results. Support engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, stress calculations, and FEA Prepare technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications for internal fabrication or external vendors.

Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for existing products or processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, quality)



to resolve design issues Document design decisions, test results, and engineering changes clearly and consistently. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field ~0-2 years of professional experience (internships and co-ops count) ~ Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, or similar) ~ Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals: statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science. ~ Demonstrable experience building physical things, whether through internships, engineering design teams, personal projects, or research. ~ Comfortable working in an workplace where requirements shift, timelines are tight, and the answer isn't always in a textbook. ~ Experience with sheet metal design, machined parts, or composite structures is an asset. ~ Exposure to FEA tools (Ansys, Fusion Simulation, or similar) beyond coursework is an asset. ~ Experience in a leadership role on an engineering design team is an asset.
